When Summer Feels Like a Speed-Up (Not a Slowdown): Coaching Through Seasonal Disruption
We often talk about summer as a time to unwind—lazy days, beach reads, kids running barefoot, and "out of office" messages that imply everyone else is finally living their best life. But for many women, especially mothers and entrepreneurs, summer doesn’t feel like a break. It feels like a disruption.
Without the structure of school or reliable childcare, the pace of life doesn’t slow down—it shifts into chaos. We find ourselves swimming in a strange emotional stew:
"You should be relaxing."
"You should love this time with your kids."
"You should be working on your next offer, reading for pleasure, journaling at sunrise..."
Instead of restoration, summer can bring pressure, disorientation, and frustration.
Coaching Through the Summer Spiral
Recently in a coaching session, one of my clients shared how she was trying to build a new collaboration. She had vision, strategy, and enthusiasm. But every email she sent was met with: "On summer schedule." "Gone fishing." "Back in August."
She was working hard, showing up, staying focused. But no one else seemed to be. The harder she pushed, the more drained she became. The resistance wasn’t just logistical—it was emotional.
Her timeline wasn’t aligned with reality. Summer had slowed everything down, but her expectations were still in high gear.
The Cost of Pushing Against the Season
When your internal urgency collides with external stillness, something snaps. That tension creates a space where self-doubt, resentment, and burnout quietly fester.
As a coach with a psychotherapy background, I don’t just address strategy. I work with the nervous system, the unspoken expectations, the emotional labor underneath the hustle.
And what I know is this: sometimes the slowdown is the strategy.
What If You Trusted the Season?
This summer, I’m inviting my clients—and myself—to stop resisting what is. To align with the rhythms of real life. To see rest as preparation, not procrastination.
Maybe this is the season of dreaming, not launching.
Maybe the collaboration will land when you stop chasing.
Maybe your body needs a break, even if your calendar says "build."
You don’t have to stop. But you do have to listen. And align.
Coaching With Me Is Different
When you coach with me, you’re not just getting a plan. You’re being seen, held, and challenged by someone who understands how trauma, ambition, and motherhood coexist. My work weaves together clinical insight and entrepreneurial vision. It’s not about speeding up. It’s about choosing the right pace.

Where do I feel out of sync with this season?
What do I need to let go of to find my rhythm?
What would change if I stopped pushing and started listening?
