A Welcome to Centering YOU
This deck was made for the mother inside the motherhood. Not because you need one more thing to do, but because you deserve support that can meet you in small, real moments.
-
Centering YOU is a bilingual postpartum wellness deck created to support mothers in the middle of real life.
Each card includes an intention on the front and an evidence-informed mind/body practice, reflection, prompt, or resource on the back. You can use the cards on your own, during therapy, or with someone you trust.
This is not an affirmation deck, and you do not have to convince yourself to feel something that is not true. The cards are invitations to pause, notice what you need, and find one small way to stay connected to yourself.
-
You are being offered a free Centering YOU card deck as part of your participation in the Georgia Perinatal Fund.
The project is designed to extend support beyond the therapy session and into the ordinary moments of postpartum life. The deck is completely optional. You may use it often, occasionally, or not at all.
There is no “right” way to use it.
-
Use the private request form provided on this site.
You will be asked for the information needed to mail the deck directly to you. Your shipping information will be used only for sending the deck and will not be shared publicly.
Receiving the deck is optional and will not affect your participation in therapy.
-
You can choose a card intentionally or select one at random.
Read the intention on the front. This card can go with you, sit in the wooden stand, or can be posted where you need to see it. When ready, you can turn the card over and choose the part of the practice that feels possible today. You do not need to complete every prompt or spend a long time with it.
One breath, one sentence, or one small action is enough.
-
No. This is not another task to keep up with. You can use the deck every day, once a week, during a difficult moment, in therapy, or whenever you remember it is there.
The deck is meant to meet you where you are—not create another expectation.
-
Yes. You may bring the entire deck or one card that stood out to you. A card can help you begin a conversation, name something that has been difficult to explain, or explore what you need more deeply with your therapist.
You can also ask your therapist to help you choose or work with a card during a session.
-
Yes, when that feels supportive and safe for you.
You might read a card together, share a prompt, or use it to explain what you are feeling or needing. You are never required to share a card or discuss anything before you are ready.
The deck belongs to you. You decide how and with whom it is used.
-
We want to understand how the deck fits into real postpartum life ; what feels useful, what does not, and what could be improved.
Feedback from mothers and providers can help shape future resources, training, and maternal mental health support across Georgia and beyond.
Your honest experience matters more than giving us a positive response.
-
No. You may receive and use the deck without completing a survey, sharing a story, recording a voice note, or submitting a photograph.
Any invitation to provide feedback is optional. Choosing not to participate will not affect your therapy or access to the deck.
